W&H Installs Newest FKI Sorters

for Two Wine & Spirits Wholesalers

W&H Systems is currently installing FKI Unisort XV sorters for Peerless Importers in Brooklyn, NY and Major Brands in St. Louis, MO.  These are the first two installations of this new high speed sliding shoe sorter within the liquor distribution industry.

The Unisort® XV sorter utilized offers the latest in sliding shoe design, with operating speeds up to 550 feet per minute with 20 degree diverts, providing fast, efficient, accurate and gentle sortation.  The sorter easily accommodates a wide range of carton sizes and weights, making it ideal for liquor distribution.

The new features of the Unisort® XV provide quieter, faster and more reliable operation compared to its predecessors as well as true cost-savings.

New features of the sorter include:

In addition, the new mechanical crossover switch for dual-sided sortation eliminates the need for both compressed air and electric controls. Without the need to purchase and maintain air compression equipment and electronic controls for crossover switches, the UniSort XV provides true cost savings, as well as a cleaner, more streamlined profile.

Included with the sortation system is an advanced user-friendly computer maintenance system developed by Logilearn that provides better statistics, reporting and printing.  It also provides online, interactive training.  The interactive training includes component identification with zoomable, graphics that teach correct part terminology and location; maintenance with both video and pictures showing corrective and preventive methods and tools, 3D animations (Dial-up 28-56K or High Speed 250K) showing how the system works and tests that check progress on key skills.
