WHizard is an easy-to-learn control and monitoring system that accurately depicts your facility’s material handling system during operation. Its familiar Windows-based screens allow the user to easily view a computer-generated graphical depiction of the system and monitor product throughput in a real time environment. The current condition of any system component, such as "normal running" or "stopped due to a jam", is readily identified from these screens, providing system managers with an overall picture of the facility at any given time. Also, basic equipment information, such as conveyor types can be determined simply by clicking on the equipment shown on the graphic screens.

In addition to these screens, a series of alarm screens provide a means of quickly identifying system faults, thereby reducing the time required to correct problems. The Alarm Management Application provides both current alarms and a historical log of previous alarms for analysis. Operational personnel are notified immediately of any current alarms, as well as potential causes of the alarm and known corrective actions. By providing detailed data, WHizard makes problem solving much more efficient and drastically reduces costly downtime.

The greatest feature of WHizard is it’s ability to provide crucial information to system managers in a real time environment  enabling system performance to be optimized. The following features are standard on all W&H systems supplied installations that utilize WHizard and contribute to this unprecedented level of system control.

An overall graphical layout of the material handling system is provided along with specific area such as sorters, merges, etc.

Provides instant access to an area of the system without having to scroll or zoom. Eliminates possibility of missing a problem.

Alarm Monitoring:

Text based messages stating the alarm condition and location are shown on the monitor. The area (conveyor, motor, e-stop, etc.) will change color on the graphical representation that quickly alerts personnel to system fault conditions and minimizes reaction time.

Event Logging:

Provides a history of all alarm messages and events, such as lane fulls, for future analysis by management.

Allows the system administrator to set password levels and grant user access.

Provides the tag name (ie. PE106) and function (ie. full lane photoeye) of each device within the system.

Reports:

Standard reports include Sortation and Lane Statistics.  They can be viewed on line or sent to your printer.

Allows users to enable or disable merge lanes, set release times, prioritize release, etc.

Merge Statistics:

Displays throughput rates for each feed line as well as the

overall throughput rate of the merge.

Allows users to check/test certain devices by activating them.

Solutions to system faults are provided on screen. It is not necessary to find a cumbersome paper manual. Costly downtime is minimized.

Production data/rates are displayed enabling quick and effective management.

Provides statistical displays for specific areas within the system. This information can be used to identify any bottlenecks.

Provides a log of how long a motor has been running without being serviced.

WHizard can optimize system performance by providing the ability to adjust all system and conveyor control parameters. It also enables you to reset all collected statistical information from the equipment.
